Sin was a Sumerian god in Mesopotamian mythology. He had a long flowing beard (see hair in my previous blog) made of lapis lazuli. Lapis is blue. Look at Comet 17p/Holmes:
Sin is represented by the number 30 (degrees in a sign?) and the planet Venus (a comet?) and a crescent. His sanctuary was named Egishshirgal which means “house of the great light” (astrological house=sign=30 degrees). Sounds a lot like Quetzalcoatl, Jesus, etc. Hmm…
How the Christians made sin into something bad to be guilty of, pardon the pun, but god only knows.
