I didn’t watch a lot of it, I’m not really “into” the whole industry, but I love listening to the acceptance speeches. I love seeing someone who has worked really hard achieve a goal and being totally overcome with elation. That’s the bit I love.

The dances should have been kept down to 20-30 sec per song, though most of it was good (only one I can think of really didn’t fit the music) this isn’t an award show for interpretive dance, it’s about movies. Why?

I will see the Hurt Locker now, and the Blind Side. I have always liked Sandra, but I like to be entertained and have fun escaping. I’m not as big of a fan of drama that makes me think, feel, etc…sorry that’s shallow, I just have plenty of drama to make me think, feel, etc in my life. I want to escape in a film. However, I appreciate films that can move me, I’m just very selective.

The Kanye moment was irritating and the b*tchy “I’ve already won two of these”. She almost pulled it out by “sharing” it with those who do costume design on films that don’t get nominated…but then failed again by saying she’s taking it home. Whatever–she needs speech coaching. Maybe she’s not that awful.

Back to the Dance number, were you as annoyed that they left the microphones on on the stage? Every time I heard sneaker or foot squeaks, or the bodies slamming on the stage, it made me think of high school talent shows.

So, I need to watch the Hurt Locker and the Blind Side. They’re on the netflix list, but it would be fun to share a streaming experience with you!
